The Douglas DC-6 was introduced in 1946 as a military transport and commercial airliner. The DC-6 was developed based on the US Army's request for a longer version of the Douglas DC-4 with a pressurized cabin. The Liftmaster was adopted by the US Air Force and Navy. Many still fly today in cargo and wildfire control roles. This 1/144 scale model of the Douglas DC-6/C-118 Liftmaster features seven marking options. The finished model is 22.8 cm long and 5.3 cm high.
