The RG Destiny Gundam was among the first Bandai models to incorporate pre-moulded inner frame pieces into its assembly, combining hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections. Builders then add frame pieces and armour over the pre-moulded parts. Compared to its High Grade counterpart, the RG Destiny Gundam utilises twice the number of pieces, resulting in greater colour accuracy on the 1/144th scale. Additionally, the RG Destiny Gundam boasts numerous articulation points within its slim frame, providing builders with extensive posing options. The model also includes armour sliding gimmicks, adding to its dynamic appearance.
