The Brewster F2A Buffalo fighters are generally considered to be perhaps the worst fighters the United States fielded during World War II, as they were completely incompetent against a range of Japanese fighters such as the A6M Zero or the Ki-43 Falcon. By the end of 1942, almost all F2As had been out of the war. But on the other hand, the air forces of some European countries have won certain victories with the "Buffalo". The Finnish Air Force pilots used the "Buffalo" to achieve an amazing record of shooting down 496 Soviet fighters and only 19 self-destruction!
