After the Nazi Party came to power in 1933, Germany rebuilt the army regardless of the Treaty of Versailles and focused on the development of train guns, and the K5 (E) and 21cm K12 (E) were the latest designs at that time. The K5(E) train gun with a tube length of 21.54 meters and a range of 60 kilometres is carried by two sets of 6-axle platform vehicles at the front and rear. Adjusting the firing angle of the main gun is handled by the hydraulic devices on both sides of the gun body and a set of hydraulic buffers in the centre. The platform turn basin on the railway allows the gun to rotate 360 degrees. This train gun has its shadow on the east and west fronts of World War II. The most famous "Battle of Anzio" has caused a lot of hardships to the Allied troops. After the war, the U.S. military even transported the K5 (E) train guns captured from the "Battle of Anzio" back to the United States and placed them in the Aberdeen Museum in Maryland for tourists to visit.
