The A-4M Skyhawk is a light attack aircraft developed by McDonnell Douglas for the U.S. Marine Corps.

An upgraded version of the earlier A-4 Skyhawk, the A-4M was introduced in the 1970s with enhanced avionics, a more powerful J52-P-408 engine, and improved pilot protection, including a new cockpit with a heads-up display (HUD).

Designed for close air support and ground attack missions, the A-4M was agile, reliable, and capable of carrying a wide range of weapons, including bombs, rockets, and air to ground missiles.

Its small size and nimbleness allowed it to operate from aircraft carriers and forward airstrips.

The A-4M served effectively into the 1990s, known for its durability and versatility in a variety of combat roles.
