This model kit from Meng was developed in collaboration with Michael Mas of the Latrun Tank Museum in Israel! The Namer APC was developed on March 1, 2008, based on the body of the Merkava Mk.4; a small number have been commissioned by the Israeli Defense Forces since the summer of 2008. The Namer is designed with modular armour, V-hull bottom armour packs and NBC protection for survival and repair ability. Its weapons include a Browning M2 heavy machine gun or a Mk.19 automatic grenade launcher on the Samson RCWS, and a 7.62mm FN MAG and a single 60mm mortar. It can carry 12 crew members and fully armed infantry.
This kit can reproduce three different types: the late type, the command version, and a version equipped with the Trophy Active Protection System. Each of its hatches can be opened and closed after assembly; clear parts for the lights and periscope are included.
