At the beginning of the Burmese battlefield in the late World War II , the armoured forces of the Republic of China Army mostly used American armoured vehicles. In 1984, the Army Tank Development Centre cooperated with General Dynamics to develop the second-generation main tank, named CM-11 Brave Tiger.
CM-11, is the first type of tank developed by the Republic of China Army, also known as M-48H H stands for Hybrid (Hybrid).
