The USS Missouri (BB-63) is a US Navy battleship. She is the third of the name (hull number BB-63) and was nicknamed "Mighty Mo" or "Big Mo" (the Powerful or the Big Mo, Mo being the abbreviation of the State of Missouri). As the flagship of the US Third Fleet, it is the building where the acts of surrender of Japan were signed on September 2, 1945 in Tokyo Bay, which ended the Second World War.
It is an Iowa-class battleship, the fourth and last ship of the line of this class built of the six ordered by the US Navy, and the penultimate battleship in the world (HMS Vanguard will be commissioned 6 months later) The Missouri was not the largest battleship of the war, since its tonnage of 58,000 t loaded was exceeded by that of the Japanese ship Yamato (72,000 tons fully loaded).
A wonderful kit that reproduces the appearance of Missouri during World War II with delicate details
