The Japanese Navy aircraft carrier Taiho was the first to be built with armour on the flight deck. She was sunk by the U.S. Navy's submarine Albacore in June 1944.

This kit was released in collaboration with Beaver Corporation, and is a completely new mould

The kit includes two Type 0 fighter aircraft, Type 52, two carrier-based attack aircraft, Tianshan, two carrier-based bombers, Comet, and two Type 99 carrier-based bombers.
